The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Moldova has approved the accession of the Communist Party to the opposition electoral bloc. This was reported on August 8 by the Telegram channel Sputnik Moldova.

"The CEC approved the statement of the Party of Communists on joining the electoral bloc of the Party of Socialists, the Heart of Moldova and the Future of Moldova parties," the publication says.

It is noted that the bloc will present the list of candidates for deputies of the country's parliament on Monday, August 11.

Earlier, on July 29, three Moldovan opposition parties jointly submitted documents to the country's Central Election Commission (CEC) for the official registration of a new electoral association. The key position of the bloc is the restoration of full-fledged relations with Russia. The bloc includes the Socialist Party of Moldova, the Future of Moldova and the Heart of Moldova.

Later, on August 3, the country's Central Election Commission registered a bloc to participate in the parliamentary elections in Moldova this fall.
