Stolbovo electric depot opened in TiNAO to serve the Troitskaya metro line
On August 8, the first electric depot, Stolbovo, was put into operation in the Troitsk and Novomoskovsk administrative districts (TiNAO). The new transport facility will serve the Troitskaya metro line, and after the launch of the Troitskoye electric depot, the Sokolnicheskaya Line as well. This was announced on his Telegram channel by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, who attended the grand opening of the depot.
The opening of Stolbovo is of key importance for the development of the capital's subway system, the mayor stressed. Already in September, it is planned to launch a new section of the Troitskaya line from the station "Innovatorskaya" to the station "ZIL", and thanks to the commissioning of the depot, train travel intervals will be shortened.
The complex is located on a plot of almost 16 hectares. It consists of about 50 buildings and more than 12 km of tracks. The company is equipped with modern washing chambers and wheelset turning machines, which will ensure high-quality and prompt maintenance of rolling stock.
Delivery and reception of trains to the Troitskaya line will be carried out along the connecting branch behind the Novomoskovskaya station. The depot is also connected to the Sokolnicheskaya Line by three branches from the distillation tunnels near the Potapovo and Novomoskovskaya stations, which will allow flexible control of rolling stock in both directions.
A canteen, a medical center, a sports hall and rest rooms for employees are provided on the territory of the depot. After reaching its design capacity, more than 1,500 jobs with guaranteed income and social guarantees will be created in Stolbovo.
