Several new roads and an interchange in TiNAO have been opened in Moscow.
On the eve of the Builder's Day, several significant infrastructure projects were opened in TiNAO. This was announced by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
In particular, traffic has started moving along a new interchange at the Kornilovskaya metro station and along the road network in the village of Mosrentgen. "6.2 km of roads were built, including three overpasses; direct access from Kaluzhskoye Highway to Kornilovskaya and Tyutchevskaya metro stations was provided, as well as a new exit to the MKAD," the mayor wrote in his Telegram channel.
The opening of these facilities will improve transport accessibility for residents of Kommunarka, where over 170,000 people live, Sobyanin stressed. In addition, thanks to the reconstruction of existing roads and a new direct exit from the Kaluga Highway, the travel time for motorists will be reduced from 20 to 5 minutes, the mayor added.
He recalled that since 2012, more than 400 km of roads have been built in the Troitsk and Novomoskovsk administrative districts of the capital. Another 100 km is expected to be built or reconstructed by the end of 2027, the mayor said.
In July, Sobyanin announced that the landscaping of Volgogradsky Prospekt was scheduled to be completed in the fall. The events are held on a site with a total length of 12.5 km — from the Garden Ring to the MKAD. The landscaping project also includes Marxist Street. "The territory will become even more comfortable for residents, while maintaining the transport function of the highway," Sobyanin said, adding that due to the renovation of the infrastructure, the speed of urban transport will be increased by 20%.
During the work, in particular, the pavement of sidewalks and roads will be replaced, and overhead cable lines will be removed underground. Modern pavilions will be built instead of outdated bus stops, new benches and energy-efficient lanterns will be installed. Green islands with decorative compositions of coniferous plants will be built on specific sections of the highway.
Builder's Day is celebrated in Russia on the second Sunday of the last summer month, which this year falls on August 9th.
