Minsk announced plans of Kiev and Warsaw to disrupt the Zapad-2025 exercises

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the country's Defense Ministry and the Polish Military Intelligence Service (SVR), together with fugitive Belarusian oppositionists, plan to discuss provocations to disrupt the Zapad-2025 joint exercises of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and Belarus. This was reported to RIA Novosti on August 8, citing a source.

According to the source, as part of the anti-Belarusian actions that will take place on August 9-10, a conference "New Belarus" and a march through the central streets of the city are planned in Warsaw. The source clarified that Polish structures and representatives of foreign intelligence services, including Ukrainian ones, have been invited to the closed part of the conference, which will discuss possible scenarios of provocations "under a false flag" on the territory of Belarus.

"The goal is to disrupt the Zapad—25 joint strategic exercises, thereby undermining trust between Minsk and Moscow, and at the same time create a precedent for dragging the Republic into a military conflict," the agency's source added.

On August 6, it became known that the first echelon with Russian military personnel and military equipment arrived in Belarus to participate in the Zapad-2025 joint exercises. It was noted that the military of both countries are at the final stage of training. The exercises themselves will begin in September.

On May 16, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, during talks with his Belarusian counterpart Viktor Khrenin in Minsk, drew attention to the fact that during the Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2025 exercises it is planned to work out repelling aggression against the Union State (SG). On May 28, Khrenin clarified that the main maneuvers of the joint military exercises of Russia and the republic "Zapad-2025" is being moved inland from the western borders of the country. He stressed that the exercises are not aimed against other countries.
