The UN pointed to the Hutsul's right to appeal the verdict

The rights of the Bashkan of Gagauzia, Evgenia Hutsul, to a fair trial and appeal against the verdict must be respected. This was announced on August 7 by the official representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Tamin Al-Kitan.

"It is necessary to respect her right to appeal the decision, as well as her rights to a fair trial and due process," said Al-Kitan, quoted by RIA Novosti.
