The Khamovnichesky court of Moscow sentenced to up to seven years in prison the defendants in the case of the scam with the mansion of the ex-head of Rusnano Anatoly Chubais. This was announced on August 7 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

"The main person involved in the case, businessman and former business partner of Chubais Ilya Suchkov, was sentenced to seven years of general regime, while another defendant, Musa Sadayev, a member of the federal political council of the liquidated Parnas party, received 4.5 years of general regime," the correspondent said.

According to him, Suchkov and Sudaev pleaded not guilty, and two other defendants, security guard Alexei Ulyakhin and director of the Argus private security company Anton Polyakov, who were sentenced to 3 years and 10 months and 4.4 years of general regime, respectively, partially admitted guilt.

It is noted that Chubais' civil lawsuit in the amount of 65 million rubles was left without consideration.

On January 17, the head of the State Duma's defense committee, Andrei Kartapolov, and deputy Andrei Lugovoy appealed to the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, with a request to initiate a criminal investigation into Chubais' activities. This includes the period from September 22, 2008 to December 3, 2020, when Chubais was Chairman of the Board of Rusnano.
