Sobyanin announced the International Film Week starting on August 23

Moscow International Film Week will be held from 23 to 27 August, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. It is expected that representatives of the film industry from several dozen countries, including China, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, France and Egypt, will take part in it.

"The business program includes more than 30 sessions where participants will discuss key industry development trends in Russia and the world," Sobyanin said on the Telegram channel. According to him, meetings with experts and presentations of international projects will be held simultaneously in three halls of the Moskino film factory.

During the week, an art program will be shown on the Moskino and Khudozhestvenny networks. In addition, a mobile cinema track will be in charge of Moscow's parks and iconic venues.

Moscow is the largest center of the Russian and one of the leading centers of the global film industry. More than 90% of film content production companies are concentrated in the capital. 80% of Russian films and TV series are shot in Moscow.
