"The explosions lifted the ashes of the Klyuchevskaya volcano 11.5 km. The ash plume stretches 124 km east of the volcano," the report says.
It is noted that this is the second ash release in the morning. Currently, the volcano has been assigned an aviation hazard code red.

The plume spreads in a northeasterly direction from the volcano towards the Bering Sea. The settlements of Ust—Kamchatsk and Krutoberegovo are on the path of the spread of the ash plume.
