The Foreign Ministers of Iran and Egypt discussed the nuclear issue of Tehran
On August 6, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, as a result of a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelati, discussed Tehran's nuclear issue, which arose after the military conflict with Israel.
"Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelati discussed the development of bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as regional and international developments during a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araqchi," the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in its Telegram channel.
It is noted that during the telephone talks, the foreign ministers also discussed the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and the need for immediate food and medical assistance.
During the conversation, topics related to the Iranian nuclear issue, which arose after Iran's conflict with Israel and the United States, were also touched upon.
Earlier, on July 31, Araqchi said that the United States should compensate Iran for the damage caused by the attack on the country's territory. According to him, Tehran will not agree to the "usual course of business" after the conflict with Israel, which the United States joined for a short time despite the negotiation process.
On July 28, US President Donald Trump said that Washington was ready to strike again at the facilities of the Iranian nuclear program. He added that the United States is receiving "very unpleasant signals" from Iran.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, in turn, expressed concern about threats from the United States to launch new attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. According to her, the Russian Foreign Ministry sees incessant attempts by "politically biased and destructively minded forces" to undermine the situation around the Iranian nuclear program.
