Ex-employee of the company was arrested in Kaliningrad for transferring US data

A court in Kaliningrad has arrested an ex-employee of one of the enterprises who transmitted information about satellite technologies to the US special services. This was announced on August 6 by the press service of the Kaliningrad Regional Court.

"An investigator applied to the Central District Court with a request to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in respect of O., who is accused of committing a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High Treason")," the publication says.

The investigation found that in 2020, the man signed an agreement with a company that works in the interests of the US government and various American defense departments. The contract provided for the collection and transmission of information, including classified information, on the production of electronic correction engines for space satellites of the OA F. According to the press service of the department, the defendant was previously a former employee of this company.

So, from July 2021 to December 2023, the attacker managed to collect information for subsequent transmission. According to the court's press service, the man was detained until September 30, 2025. The resolution has not yet entered into force.

On August 5, the FSB of Russia reported that in the Bryansk region, a detained Russian confessed to transmitting to Kiev data on the positions of the military group of forces "North" of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Kharkiv region. The man explained that he had transmitted information about the equipment of the Russian military, about the means of electronic suppression (RAP) of drones and the air defense forces.
