HC Vancouver Canucks has signed a one-year contract with striker Kravtsov

The Vancouver Canucks hockey club of the National Hockey League (NHL) has signed a one-year contract with Russian striker Vitaly Kravtsov. This was announced on August 6 by HC with reference to the club's manager Patrick Allwin.

"Vancouver Canucks general Manager Patrick Allwin announced today that the club has agreed on the terms of a one—year two-way contract with striker Vitaly Kravtsov," reads a statement posted on the official website.

Kravtsov, 25, played 66 games for Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in the 2024/25 season, scoring 58 points (27+31+58 ), four penalty minutes and a score of +31. In addition, he participated in 19 playoff games and scored seven points (6+1+7 ), two penalty minutes, and also helped Traktor reach the Gagarin Cup final.

It is noted that the striker also played 64 NHL games with HC New York Rangers and Vancouver Canucks, scoring 12 points (6+6+12 ) and earning 14 penalty minutes. In 2019, Kravtsov won a bronze medal in the World Junior Ice Hockey Championship.

On August 4, the hockey club Barys of the KHL appointed Mikhail Kravets as the head coach of the team. It is noted that the agreement is valid until May 31, 2026. The contract also includes the possibility of a one-season extension.
