American director Francis Ford Coppola has been hospitalized at Rome's Tor Vergata clinic. This was reported on August 5 by the Italian news agency ANSA.

It is noted that the 86-year-old director entered the department on Tuesday morning.

It is indicated that in mid-July, Coppola came to the Magna Grecia festival in Calabria, Italy, where he presented his new film Megalopolis.

Francis Ford Coppola is known for such cult films as The Godfather trilogy and Apocalypse Now. During his career, he won five Oscars and two Palme d'Or Awards at the Cannes Film Festival. The last work of the master at the moment was the drama "Megalopolis", which premiered in May last year.
