James Comer, Chairman of the Oversight Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, has sent subpoenas to the U.S. Department of Justice to testify to former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary, as well as other high-ranking officials. This was announced on August 5 in the press release of the committee.

"James Comer today sent subpoenas to testify to Bill and Hillary Clinton <...> for testimony related to the horrific crimes committed by Jeffrey Epstein. In addition, Chairman Comer sent a subpoena to the US Department of Justice for the provision of documents related to Epstein," the publication says on the authority's website.

In addition, former directors of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) James Comey and Robert Mueller, as well as former U.S. Attorneys General Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, William Barr, Jeff Sessions and Alberto Gonzalez will have to testify.

It is noted that all correspondence between former US President Joe Biden and the Justice Department on the Epstein case will also be published. It is specified that Bill Clinton will have to testify on October 14, and his wife on October 9.

Earlier, on July 19, Trump asked the US Department of Justice to release all available testimony from the jury in the Epstein case. However, later, on July 23, the Florida court rejected this request, in connection with which Trump expressed his dissatisfaction on July 28. The US president was annoyed by the mistakes made by the White House in this matter.
