The popularity of premium used cars has grown in Russia
In the first half of the year, the share of cars with mileage of over 5 million rubles from dealers showed a noticeable increase. Chinese premium brands showed the greatest dynamics, Auto analysts said.<url> Business" August 6, Izvestia.
In "Auto.<url> Business notes the growth of offers in the segment of used premium cars from authorized dealers. German cars retained their dominant position: their share reached 67%, which is 3 percentage points higher than in the same period of 2024.
Premium cars from Japan took the second place with a share of almost 10%, which is 4 percentage points less than a year ago. The share of British premium cars remained virtually unchanged at 7.7%. In the first half of the year, the share of premium models from the USA among dealers reached almost 6% (+1 percentage points). South Korean cars, on the contrary, reduced the share to almost 3% (-2 percentage points).
Among the premium models with mileage, the BMW X5, Mercedes S-class, Land Rover Range Rover, Toyota Land Cruiser and BMW X7 were in the highest demand. The cost dynamics of these models were significantly different.Thus, the average price for Mercedes S-class (up to 8.96 million rubles), BMW X5 and X7 (up to 7.13 million and 8.44 million rubles, respectively) decreased by 3.5–7% compared to last year. Land Rover, Range Rover and Toyota Land Cruiser, on the contrary, rose in price by more than 7%, to 11 million and 7.78 million rubles, respectively.
Chinese premium cars showed an increase in supply by the first half of 2024, increasing the share from 1.9% to 3% in the second half of 2025.
The most popular were LiXiang L9, LiXiang L7, Zeekr 001, Voyah Dream and Tank 500. Almost all models have fallen in price compared to the same period last year. The price reduction was more than 7% for LiXiang L9 (up to 6.6 million rubles), LiXiang L7 (up to 5.8 million rubles) and Voyah Dream (up to 6 million rubles). The average cost of the Zeekr 001 decreased by 3.5% to 5.6 million rubles. The price of the Tank 500 remained stable at 5.5 million rubles.
Earlier, a study by Sberbank showed an increase in the average cost of one car refueling in Russia. According to the results of the first half of 2025, it increased by 9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1,288 rubles. Russians spent the most on fuel in Moscow — 63.9 billion rubles. The second and third lines in terms of expenses were taken by the Moscow region (39 billion rubles) and St. Petersburg (26 billion rubles).
