The prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the death of commentator Grishin.

An investigation is underway into the death of sports commentator Alexander Grishin on the railway in Podolsk. This was announced on August 5 by the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office.

"The prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the injury of a man on the railway in Podolsk," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to preliminary data, the man was fatally injured at night by the Volokolamsk—Serpukhov electric train when he crossed the railway in the wrong place. The causes and circumstances of the incident are now being established.

The check on this fact was organized by the Moscow-Kursk Transport Prosecutor's Office. Based on its results, the issue of taking prosecutorial response measures will be considered.

Grishin's death became known earlier that day. His wife Anastasia reported that the man died in an accident on a railway platform in heavy rain.
