In the Tula region, a criminal case was opened into the arson of a relay cabinet at the Aleksin railway station by two 17-year-olds. This was announced on August 5 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"The investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Tula region, based on the materials of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the region, have opened a criminal case on the commission of sabotage on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Sabotage")," the message published on the Telegram channel says.

According to the agency, the incident occurred on July 24. It is clarified that the teenagers acted on the instructions of third parties, according to preliminary information, from the Ukrainian special services.

The minors were detained and arrested. The circumstances of the incident are being established.

The day before, the Moscow district court of St. Petersburg chose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest against a teenager accused of setting fire to a police post. It is specified that he was detained on August 2 and charged under paragraph a of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").
