Russian sports commentator Alexander Grishin died at the age of 47 in an accident. This was announced on August 5 by his wife Anastasia.

"He died in an accident on a railway platform in heavy rain," she told TASS.

Grishin was a commentator on Match TV from 2015 to 2018, and later began working on Channel One. He has been commenting on figure skating competitions for many years. In addition, during his career, Grishin has worked at several summer and Winter Olympic Games, as well as at World and European Football Championships.
