The European Union's (EU) military aid to Ukraine has been frozen by Hungary's efforts. This was announced on August 4 by the former high representative of the Association for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrel.

"After my departure, military assistance to Ukraine from the EU was not provided, €6.6 billion in the European Peace Fund remains blocked because of Hungary. This was the end of this tool," he said in an interview with the EUobserver portal.
