A special zone for launching drones will appear in Surgut.

A special training area for unmanned aerial vehicle operators is being set up in Surgut (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug). This was announced by the deputy of the City Duma and the head of the UAV school Alexey Kuchin in his social networks.

For flights, they chose a deserted part of the Ob River bank behind the Yugorsky Tract, opposite the Vozrozhdenie residential complex. In the future, the main embankment of the city will appear there, but now this place will become a point of attraction for everyone who is interested in drones.

The project has already been approved by the Surgut City Hall, the Tyumen Interregional Territorial Administration of the Federal Air Transport Agency and the State Corporation for Air Traffic Management. According to the <url> news agency, now the organizers are waiting for the Federal Air Transport Agency to add the declared area to the directory of free flight zones.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that Russian scientists have developed a universal simulator for drones, which is able to simulate any real situation in flight. The data generated by him is necessary for training neural networks to control drones in situations where the operator cannot do this.
