Roscosmos satellites recorded and took pictures of the eruption of the Krasheninnikov volcano in Kamchatka. This was announced on August 3 in the Telegram channel of the state corporation.
The images show an ash plume formed as a result of a volcanic eruption. It is noted that the height of ash emissions into the atmosphere reaches an average of 5 km above sea level.
Roscosmos clarified that the picture was taken by the Arctic-M weather satellite system.
On August 3, the press service of the main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory reported on the eruption of the Krasheninnikov volcano. It is specified that the plume from the ash emission spread eastward from the volcano towards the Pacific Ocean.
