In Sydney, tens of thousands of demonstrators marched across the Harbor Bridge as part of a pro-Palestinian march calling for an end to the conflict and a solution to the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on August 3.

It is noted that up to 90 thousand people participated in the demonstration. Some participants in the march, called the "March for Humanity," carried pots and pans, symbolizing the hunger problem faced by an increasing number of Gazans.

"That's enough. When people from all over the world unite and talk to each other, evil can be defeated," one of the Dag participants emphasized during the demonstration.

According to the publication, last week, the police and local authorities tried to ban the procession of a column of protesters across the bridge, as this could lead to disruptions in the operation of the transport highway. However, the Supreme Court of New South Wales allowed the march to proceed.

According to police, hundreds of employees were involved in security at the event. The demonstrators were also urged not to resort to violence. No one was injured during the march.

On July 23, the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, highlighted the sharp increase in the number of deaths due to malnutrition in the Gaza Strip. According to him, in 2025, WHO registered 21 deaths in Gaza related to malnutrition in children under the age of five. Ghebreyesus clarified that acute malnutrition rates exceed 10% of the population.

Later, on July 27, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) introduced a daily humanitarian pause in the fighting in Gaza. On the same day, journalist Muhammad Mattar told Izvestia about queues outside a charity kitchen in the Gaza Strip. According to him, the food crisis in the region has worsened due to the closure of checkpoints, the shelling of the charity kitchen and its employees by the occupation forces.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
