NATO plans to deploy troops in the Estonian city of Pärnu, located close to the border with Russia. This was reported on August 2 by the ERR television company with reference to the Estonian Ministry of Defense.

"NATO may decide to deploy the German-Dutch corps of allied forces in Estonia. In the case of a positive scenario, the base of the corps should be the city of Pärnu," the article says.

The final decision is expected during the current year. According to Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, the deployment of the military involves the creation of infrastructure for 100-200 people.

On August 2, Strategic Culture reported on the panic of NATO member countries due to the decline of their own authority against the background of the advancement of the Russian Armed Forces. According to the publication, after the conclusion of a peace agreement on the conflict in Ukraine, the leaders of European countries planned to deploy tens of thousands of military personnel, but the successes of the Russian Army make such a prospect impossible.
