The Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of the Russian military in the special operation zone

On August 3, the Russian Ministry of Defense spoke about the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation.

The ministry noted the actions of the guard of Junior Sergeant Danil Kotov, who performs combat missions as a driver-loader of the Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). Being under artillery fire from militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), he carried out the task of defeating enemy manpower in the area of one of the settlements in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Controlling the equipment entrusted to him, under the fire of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he delivered an artillery crew to a firing position, helped to open fire on the enemy in a timely and accurate manner, as a result of which more than 20 Ukrainian militants were killed.

Acting as part of an artillery crew, Kotov carried out another combat mission to defeat enemy manpower and equipment near one of the settlements. After its execution, the Ukrainian Armed Forces returned artillery fire, as a result of which the combat vehicle he was driving was damaged. The soldier, being under enemy fire, repaired the damage and brought the combat vehicle and crew out of harm's way. Thanks to the courage shown in the conditions of enemy fire, it was possible to save the weapons and the lives of the combat crew.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry noted the actions of Guard Junior Sergeant Andrei Voskresensky, who, as commander of the Grad MLRS combat vehicle, repeatedly performed combat reconnaissance missions to detect enemy artillery positions, identify areas of concentration of his manpower and equipment and destroy them. Being in a firing position in the area of one of the settlements of the DPR, after completing the firing task, the calculation of the Russian Armed Forces was attacked by FPV drones and enemy artillery. During the repulse of the attack, one of the FPV drones reached the target, as a result of which the combat vehicle caught fire.

Despite the continuous shelling of enemy artillery, Voskresensky managed to eliminate its ignition, after which he decided to take the car away from the shelling to a safe place, thereby preserving the equipment entrusted to him. While in the area of concentration, he served at an air surveillance post, where he was able to detect enemy FPV drones approaching the artillery team's location in time and destroy them. Thanks to the rapid and confident actions of Voskresensky in the conditions of fire exposure, it was possible to inflict a fire defeat on the enemy.
