On August 2, the Russian team Spirit defeated the Ukrainian esports team Natus Vincere and reached the finals of the annual Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne 2025 Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament.

The meeting was held in Cologne, Germany, with a prize fund of $1 million. The game ended in favor of the Russian athletes with a score of 2:1 on the cards.

Danil Kryshkovets, an 18-year-old Russian esports player in CS2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, under the nickname donk, was recognized as the most valuable player in this match, Sport-Express adds.

On July 19, Team Spirit announced their victory in the match taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, against Team Falcons from Saudi Arabia in the grand final of the Esports World Cup. The game was completed with a score of 3:0.
