A record amount of drugs was seized in French Polynesia

French law enforcement officials have seized a record amount of drugs, as well as firearms in French Polynesia. This was announced on August 2 by the Minister of the Interior of the Republic, Bruno Retaio.

"A record seizure was made in French Polynesia: 1,646.8 kg of cocaine, 232.4 kg of methamphetamine or 1,878.2 kg of narcotic substances," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

11 Glock pistols and 24 magazines for them were also confiscated.

The Bild newspaper reported on July 13 that in Germany, police officers seized a shipment of the drug kaptagon, weighing more than 300 kg, worth over €20 million. The substances were found in bottles that were stored in containers of oilseeds in a vegetable warehouse in Saxony-Anhalt.
