On August 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated soldiers and officers on Airborne Forces Day, mentioning that the current generation is valiantly fighting for truth and justice during a special military operation.

"The current generation of soldiers and officers preserves and enhances these glorious military traditions, piously honors the laws of the strong amphibious brotherhood, valiantly fights for truth and justice during a special military operation, and honorably defends our national interests," reads a telegram posted on the Kremlin's website.
