The Supreme Ruler of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, will pay a state visit to Russia on August 5-10. This was announced on August 2 by the Kremlin's press service.

"On August 5-10, the supreme ruler of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, will pay a state visit to the Russian Federation," the Kremlin website says.

It is specified that talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Sultan Ibrahim are scheduled for August 6. During the meeting, the parties will discuss the further development of Russian-Malaysian relations, as well as current international and regional issues.

On May 14, Putin noted that relations between Russia and Malaysia are on the rise, and the countries are interested in developing bilateral relations, which have all the prerequisites. According to the Russian President, the visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to Moscow will serve to strengthen the entire complex of Russian-Malaysian partnership.
