The Supreme Judicial Chamber (VSP) of Moldova rejected the protest of the Pobeda opposition bloc against the refusal of the country's Central Election Commission (CEC) to register to participate in the parliamentary elections on September 28.

"The judicial Board of the VSP rejected the cassation appeal as unfounded, finding that the appeal to the court was filed late — on July 23, 2025, which exceeds the three—day period established by law," TASS quoted the agency as saying.

It is noted that the decision is final and is not subject to appeal.

On July 19, the Central Election Commission of Moldova did not allow the Pobeda bloc to participate in the parliamentary elections. The decision was made by a majority vote during the meeting. The reason for the refusal was alleged violations in the document flow, as well as non-compliance with the requirements of the electoral legislation. Vasily Bolya, a representative of the Pobeda bloc, in turn, expressed his intention to appeal the decision in court.

Later, on July 26, supporters of the parties of Socialists, Communists, "The Heart of Moldova" and "The Future of Moldova" protested in Chisinau against the rule of Moldovan President Maia Sandu. Igor Dodon noted that more than 10 thousand people took to the streets of Chisinau, and also expressed confidence that they would win.
