The Levotobi volcano has erupted in Indonesia.
In Indonesia, another eruption of the Levotobi Lucky volcano was recorded, which is located in the southeastern part of the island of Flores. This was reported on August 1 by Kompas TV channel with reference to the geological agency of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources EMR.
"The eruption occurred with high intensity and threw out a column of volcanic ash, which rose to a height of up to 10 kilometers above the top of the active crater," the publication says.
It is specified that the ash tends to the west and northwest of the volcano. The eruption itself, which lasted more than three minutes, was recorded on a seismogram — its maximum amplitude was 47.3 mm.
Currently, as specified in the material, with reference to the head of EMR Muhammad Wafid, the eruption is still ongoing and in the future, agency specialists will compile a detailed report on the event.
