Ashraf Hakimi, a player of the French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), faces up to 15 years in prison for raping a woman. This was reported by the newspaper Le Parisien on August 1.

"The prosecutor's office of Nanterre has just applied to the criminal court of the Department of Hauts-de-Seine with a request to charge Ashraf Hakimi with rape. The player faces up to 15 years in prison for rape," the publication says.

The incident occurred in February 2023. According to the newspaper, the football player met the girl on social networks, then a month after the start of communication he met with her and committed violent acts.

It is noted that after that, the girl reported the incident to the police station. On March 3, 2023, the athlete was charged with rape and taken into custody, and the prosecutor's office launched a judicial investigation. During the hearing, the footballer denied his guilt.
