A warehouse on an area of 2.3 thousand square meters caught fire on Igumenka Street in Chelyabinsk. On August 1, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported.

"On Igumenka Street, 2.3 thousand square meters are burning. Extinguishing is complicated by the high fire load in the building," the message posted on the Telegram channel says.

According to the agency, more than 130 specialists and 37 pieces of equipment were involved in the elimination of the fire. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Later, the agency added that the fire was localized.

The day before, a fire broke out in an apartment building in Balashikha, Moscow region. About 90 people, including 10 children, were evacuated from the house. A criminal case has been opened into the deaths. The fire was later extinguished.
