"The authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the malfunction of the fireworks and the security measures taken to hold such a significant event," the publication clarifies.
The Bild newspaper reported on July 19 that 19 people, including one child, were injured at a traditional fair in the German city of Dusseldorf due to a firework explosion. The organizer decided to end the fair ahead of schedule.
