The most popular new cars in St. Petersburg in 2025 are named

The Chinese Haval Jolion crossover, which is produced in the Tula region, has become the most popular new car on the St. Petersburg market in the first half of 2025. This was reported on August 1 by the analytical agency Autostat.

In six months, 1,633 Haval Jolion crossovers were sold in St. Petersburg. Lada Granta came in second place, with 1,603 units. The top five were completed by Lada Vesta (1,316 units), Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (1,190 units) and Belgee X50 (1,133 units).

Haval is also the leader in the vintage rating with a score of 4.9 thousand copies. Lada is in the second position (4.4 thousand units), followed by Chinese brands: Chery (3.5 thousand units), Geely (2.8 thousand units) and Changan (2.4 thousand units). The figures of the other brands were less than 2 thousand cars.

In just six months, residents of St. Petersburg have purchased 31.5 thousand new passenger cars, which is 28% less than in January —June last year. Immediately, Chinese brands accounted for almost 69% of the car market (21.6 thousand units). Analysts noted that the share of passenger cars from Chinese brands in this market decreased by 6 percentage points over the year.
