The Georgian Dream party has nominated Kaladze as a candidate for mayor of Tbilisi.
For the third time, the ruling Georgian Dream party has nominated the current head of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, as a candidate for mayor of Tbilisi. This was reported on July 31 by the Imedi News channel.
"For the third time in a row, I was nominated as a candidate for mayor," part of Kaladze's appeal to voters is quoted in the publication.
Kaladze has been Mayor of Tbilisi since November 13, 2017.
On April 25, Channel One of Georgia announced the resignation of the chairman of the Georgian Dream party, Irakli Garibashvili, who considered that his mission in this political association had already been fulfilled and declared that he was finally leaving politics in order to help his country "from a different position."
