A ten-year-old girl died when a minivan overturned on the Baikal highway

In the Uletovsky district of the Trans-Baikal Territory, a 10-year-old girl died as a result of a minivan overturning. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon, July 31, on the 885th km of the federal highway R-258 Baikal. It was previously established that the 41-year-old Toyota Gaia driver lost control. The car flew off the road and overturned.

As a result of the accident, a 10-year-old passenger of a minivan was killed. The driver and a 21-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital.

It is known that all the foreign cars in the cabin were not wearing seat belts. People were traveling from Ulan-Ude to the village of Duldurga, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

On July 12, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado driven by a 40-year-old woman overturned on a highway in Kamchatka. As a result, a nine-year-old girl was killed, the driver and her other six passengers were injured. Only an 18-year-old female passenger was not injured in the accident.
