Political analyst Mearsheimer revealed Trump's possible decision to supply weapons to Kiev

US President Donald Trump does not want to supply Kiev with even more weapons and may allow Ukraine to be defeated. This was announced on July 30 by American political scientist John Mearsheimer in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson.

"I don't think Trump will end up giving the Ukrainians even more weapons. <...> He will, in fact, allow the Ukrainians to be defeated," he said.

Mearsheimer suggested that in the future, Trump, who wants to end the conflict, may be accused of "losing Ukraine." That is why, according to the expert, the American leader is indecisive on this issue. Currently, surrounded by advisers, he does not realize what he is doing, Mearsheimer noted.

The political scientist noted that the economies of European countries suffer the most from the Ukrainian conflict, while the US economy benefits to some extent at the expense of Europe.

Meanwhile, Britain is urging the United States to speed up arms supplies to Kiev.

On July 28, Trump announced his disinterest in talks on resolving the Ukrainian conflict. He stressed that he did not expect the situation in Ukraine to develop "in this way," but did not rule out its early resolution.
