Putin called Arkhyz resort in Karachay-Cherkessia a beautiful place.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with the head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov on July 30, noted that he considers the Arkhyz resort located in the republic to be a beautiful place.

"It's a beautiful place," Putin said after hearing a report on the resort's development.

The Russian President also asked Temrezov when the airport would be built. According to the head of Karachay-Cherkessia, flights there will probably be possible from 2029. As Putin noted, after the opening of the airport, the number of tourists will immediately increase.

Putin assessed the republic's surplus budget and instructed to eliminate second shifts in schools in the region.
