Half of Russians use neural networks to generate images, and another 12% plan to do so. Such data follows from a survey conducted by the RuStore app store among Hi-Tech Mail readers. Izvestia got acquainted with the results of the study on July 30.

The most popular reason for using neural networks is interest or entertainment: 72% of the survey participants chose this option. Only 18% use artificial intelligence (AI) for self—presentation or work tasks, and 2% use it to create avatars.

Users most often choose realistic image styles — almost 48% of respondents preferred this option. Cyberpunk and fantasy (16%), art portraits (10%), humorous images (12%), cartoon styles (10%) and pictures in the style of characters from popular franchises (5%) are also popular.

At the same time, about half of the respondents (45%) are willing to pay for the generation of AI content. Of these, 20% will consider paid features if a trial version is available, and 13% if the price is reasonable. For 7%, it is important to have a payment available to Russian users. Another 5% have already paid or continue to pay for similar services.

"Neural networks for image generation have become part of the digital habits of Russians. Users choose bright and memorable styles, from realistic portraits to fantasy. There is also a growing demand for paid features, for example, the purchase of additional generation styles or the lifting of image creation limits," commented Oleg Afanasyev, RuStore's product director.

On July 28, Igor Bederov, founder of the Internet Search company, NTI SafeNet market expert, told Izvestia that government, commercial and medical secrets, information protected by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), personal data, bank details, passwords and PIN codes should never be disclosed to artificial intelligence.. In addition, messages sent by AI are not protected by attorney-client privilege or other privileges.
