President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, rejecting proposals for peace, made a number of mistakes, which put him in a difficult position. This was announced by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in an interview with the Polish TV channel wPolsce24.

"I respect President Zelensky, but I think he made mistakes. One of them was to reject my offer to try to make peace a year ago. Zelensky's situation is not easy," he said.

Orban also noted that, in his opinion, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump should hold a personal meeting to conclude peace. He also stressed that he does not consider what is happening to be a Russian-Ukrainian conflict, but regards it as a confrontation between Russia and the West.

On July 17, Orban called the plan of NATO and the EU to defeat Russia with the help of Ukraine hopeless. He said that Russia is a nuclear superpower that "no one has defeated anywhere," and the military industry of many European countries is decades behind.
