Markings using the new technology began to be applied to regional roads of the Trans-Baikal Territory. Modern materials are used for this purpose — special paint and cold plastic, the press service of the regional Ministry of Construction reported on Tuesday, July 29.

Markings are applied to pedestrian crossings, near schools and other educational institutions. Special equipment and manual equipment are used during the work. Cold plastic makes the pattern more stable and durable.

New technological markings have already appeared on the roads of the Olovyanninsky, Ononsky, Borzinsky and Shilkinsky districts. Work is still underway in Akshinsky, Nerchinsky and Kyrin districts, they should be completed by September 1.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency, there are plans to mark up another 22 districts and towns by October 1.

Earlier it was reported that in July, three new weight and size control points were commissioned in Transbaikalia. The authorities plan to install seven more such facilities by the end of the current 2025.
