Children were taken off the train and hospitalized with a food infection in the Kuban

Two groups of child passengers were urgently removed from the Kislovodsk—Tynda train and taken to medical facilities with symptoms of a food infection. This was reported on July 29 in the Telegram channel of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (MCT) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"There are minor passengers en route on the Kislovodsk—Tynda passenger train from July 28 to July 29, 2025 at Armavir and Kavkazskaya stations <...> in the Krasnodar Territory <...> they sought medical help," the Telegram channel says.

It is reported that the children complained of malaise and food infection.

The publication clarified that a criminal case had been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers").

Investigators have examined the scene, appointed forensic examinations and are carrying out a set of measures to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident.

On June 5, eight children were hospitalized with an intestinal infection, having been removed from the Yekaterinburg– Anapa train. It was noted that the cause of the disease was norovirus. Later it was reported that 14 more people with the same diagnosis were admitted to the hospital.
