The presentation of the book "Alexander Fedorchak: son, friend, military commander" about the deceased Izvestia correspondent took place in Simferopol on July 29.

The book was published on Fedorchak's birthday — he was supposed to be 29 years old. According to Victoria Kondratskaya, one of the authors of the book, associate professor of Journalism at the Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, the work contains memoirs of Alexander's relatives, teachers, as well as poems by people with whom the journalist communicated during his work.

The teacher clarified that she plans to use the book to teach students.

"These are stories from the life of a reporter, they are the ones that are closer to students than abstruse theories. <...> Therefore, of course, it (the book — Ed.) is like a textbook. A guide on how to live in such a way as to preserve the memory and love of oneself," said Kondratskaya.

Sergey Fedorchak, the journalist's father, noted that the book consists of letters from ordinary people who expressed all their feelings in them. He added that the authors of the book cried when they read these materials.

"Day and night, I received materials and letters in the mail. Even with grammatical errors, but people wrote from the heart. And you can all see this. <...> I think the book will live on," shared Sergey Fedorchak.

Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak died in the SVR zone on March 24. On the same day, Andrey Panov, the operator of the Zvezda TV channel, and Alexander Sirkeli, the driver of the film crew, died.

On April 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarding Fedorchak the Order of Courage posthumously. In addition, the award was awarded to the deceased correspondents of Channel One, Anna Prokofieva, and the operator of the Zvezda TV channel, Andrei Panov. The award given to Fedorchak was handed over to his parents on June 17. On June 19, the memorial plaque of Fedorchak was unveiled in the village of Nizhnegorsky.
