At least eight people have been killed by a landslide in Hebei Province in northern China, and four more are missing. This was reported on Tuesday, July 29, by China Central Television (CCTV).

"At the moment, eight people have died as a result of the landslide, four people are missing," the article says.

The search and rescue operation continues. Authorities warn of the risk of repeated landslides due to heavy soil moisture and expected precipitation in the affected area.

On the same day, it was reported that at least 30 people died as a result of heavy rains in Beijing. It was clarified that due to the influx of warm and humid air associated with a high-pressure area in the subtropics, severe thunderstorms and heavy rains have been observed in the Miyun area and other parts of Beijing in recent days.
