The military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation spoke about the use of unique tactics to eliminate the UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

On July 28, Russian military personnel of the Southern Group of Forces spoke about the use of a unique and effective tactic to eliminate drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of a special military operation — the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against them.

"The effectiveness [of using] UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles. — Ed.) there are actually anti—UAVs," said a technician from the group of forces with the call sign Anchor.

According to him, the enemy has shock, large and quite expensive Baba Yaga drones, which are designed for massive strikes, and Russian military personnel have FPV drones designed for equipment and infantry, which cost less and are produced in large quantities. Therefore, as the Anchor explained, the loss of the Baba Yaga from the FPV drone is noticeable, as it has a negative impact on the pace of attacks and knocks out enemy intelligence.

"The work of the UAV crew, which essentially performs the functions of air defense, hunting enemy "birds", begins here — in a closed, camouflaged, fortified combat position, because our drones are the most delicious target for the enemy," said Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov.

Another soldier, with the call sign Lim, the commander of the UAV platoon of the tank battalion of the 4th Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces, talking about the work of UAV operators, noted that the advantages of his units over the enemy lie in skills and experience gained over time.

"The experience. Everything is given by experience. Maybe they [the APU] just don't have any experienced ones? According to intelligence, they are losing," the soldier summed up.

On July 28, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the destruction by gunners of the Dnepr group of forces of the AFU UAV control center on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. The ministry clarified that the enemy's manpower was also eliminated as a result of this operation. After the successful destruction of the target identified by aerial reconnaissance, the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation disguised their weapon and promptly left this firing position.
