HC Metallurg signed a contract with Tkachev
Magnitogorsk Metallurg Hockey Club has signed a contract with striker Vladimir Tkachev. The relevant information is published on the club's website.
It is specified that the contract with the striker is for two years, that is, until the end of the 2026/27 season.
"As soon as we learned that Vladimir was entering the free agent market, we did not hesitate: we met with Vladimir and his agent, talked about how we see Metallurg in the coming seasons, and about the role of the striker in the updated team. Then we discussed the details and came to an agreement that suits everyone," said Evgeny Biryukov, Metallurg's sports director.
Tkachev is 29 years old. The striker missed most of the 2024/25 season due to injury. He participated in 17 matches and scored 15 points. Tkachev has a total of 470 games and 389 points in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The utility score is "+52".
Earlier, on April 22, it was reported that Danil Yurov, the striker of Magnitogorsk Metallurg, terminated his contract with the club. He decided to continue his career in the National Hockey League (NHL), in the system of the Minnesota Wild team, which drafted him in 2022.
