Three people died when a plane crashed into the ocean off the coast of California.

Three people were killed in the crash of a twin-engine Beechcraft aircraft off the coast of Pacific Grove in California. This was reported on July 27 on the website of the US Coast Guard.

"On Sunday morning, the crew of the Monterey Fireboat Fire Boat 12 found the first person at the scene who was unresponsive... The crew of Monterey Fire Boat 12 then worked with a commercial diving team to find and lift the remaining two people inside the aircraft between 06:31 (16:31 GMT) and 09:08 (19:08 GMT) in the morning, both were found unconscious," the statement said.

According to NBC News, a private jet took off from San Carlos Airport near San Francisco. He was in the air for about 30 minutes before falling into the Pacific Ocean. The plane crash killed California residents Steve Eugene Clutterack, 60, James Vincent, 36, and Jamie Lee Tabscott, 44.

The broadcaster clarified that the US National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.

Earlier, on July 2, five people were injured in the crash of a Cessna 208B single-engine aircraft in Gloucester County, New Jersey, USA. The single-engine plane skidded off the runway. There were 15 people on board.
