VKKS terminated the powers of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Podnosova

The Supreme Qualification Board of Judges of Russia has terminated the powers of Irina Podnosova, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, who died on July 22. This was stated on the instance's website.

"The HCCC of the Russian Federation terminated the powers of judge, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation I.L. Podnosova on the basis of subparagraph 10 of paragraph 1 of Article 14 of the Law of the Russian Federation "On the Status of Judges in the Russian Federation," the message says.

In the near future, VKKS should announce the search for a new candidate for the vacancy.

Irina Podnosova has held the position since April 2024.

Podnosova died on July 22 at the age of 72. She has held the post of Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia since 2024. The Russian leader also took part in a farewell ceremony with the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
