Russian cosmonaut Platonov arrives at NASA's Kennedy Space Center

Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov as part of the crew of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) spacecraft USA Crew-11 has arrived at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This was announced on July 26 by the Roscosmos State Corporation in the Telegram channel.

"Together with Oleg Platonov, his Crew-11 colleagues, astronauts Zina Kardman, Michael Fink and Kimiya Yui, arrived at NASA's Kennedy Space Center," the company noted.

The launch of the scientific mission is expected to take place no earlier than July 31.

On February 7, Roscosmos announced that cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev and Oleg Platonov will fly to the International Space Station (ISS) on American Crew Dragon ships in 2025 and 2026. In addition, one NASA astronaut was included in the Soyuz MS-28 and Soyuz MS-29 crews. In the fall, a Russian spacecraft will deliver astronaut Christopher Williams to the ISS, and in the summer of 2026, Anil Menon Samoylenko will fly on the Soyuz.
