Former Brazilian UFC fighter Francimar Barroso has applied for Russian citizenship. On July 26, the athlete told reporters at a master class in Melitopol.

"This is my dream, please give me your passport. I will be grateful to anyone who can contribute to this," he said.

According to the athlete, after completing his career, he intends to spend more time with his family.

Since 2021, Barroso has been living in Moscow, he is married to Russian Anastasia Motyasheva, and they are also raising their son Gabriel, adds Sport-Express.

On July 14, Brazilian UFC mixed martial artist Walter Walker announced his intention to obtain Russian citizenship after entering the fight to the Russian song "Mother Earth".
