Foreign representatives from Ethiopia, Kenya, Tunisia, Romania, Spain, Uganda, Morocco, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also took part in the competition. The competitions were held with the participation of international judges.

The winner of the men's one-mile race was Kenyan Jospat Kipkirui with a score of 3:57.91. His compatriot Amason Kireu finished second in 3:58.19, and Abdulkerim Teki from Ethiopia finished third in 3:59.41. Russian Evgeny Valitov, who came seventh, broke the Russian record with a time of 4:02:11.
"Today there were athletes from other countries, it was very exciting to perform. Especially when we were, roughly speaking, the usual team, athletes from Russia, and athletes from another country were sitting on the tail. <> I think we managed to control our excitement and were able to take the first two places," said the winner Sergey Kozhevnikov.
Birtukan Degu from Ethiopia won the women's race in 4:30.16. Her compatriots Xanet Alem (4:30.33) and Samravit Mulugeta (4:30.83) took second and third places. Lilia Mendayeva became the best among Russians, taking fourth place with a score of 4:32.30, which is a new Russian record for this distance..
"I was planning on setting a record, but I was just short of 40 seconds <... > I didn't feel much competition. I always set myself up to fight with myself first of all," said the winner of the tournament, Elvira Novoseltseva.
Russian Elvira Novoseltseva won with the best result of the world season in 10 km race walking among women — 41:47. The second and third places were taken by Reyhan Kagramanova (44:26) and Kristina Lyubushkina (44:57).
"We showed an incredible result, in my opinion. The guys are just getting in shape, they will be ready for the autumn, for the September starts. Nevertheless, they are almost at their peak right now. I can mention each of our Russian athletes, who showed a serious fight to our international rivals," said Olympic champion, director of the All—Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) Yuri Borzakovsky.
Sergey Kozhevnikov was the fastest among men in this discipline, with 38:32. Maxim Boyko (38:36) and Misgana Wakuma from Ethiopia (38:39) finished next.
Yesterday, Russian track and field athlete Konstantin Krylov set a new Russian record in the 100 m for the first time in 39 years. The 21-year-old Russian showed a result of 10.04 seconds and became the winner at the Russian Championship among athletes under 23 years of age. The previous record, 10.10 seconds, was held by two Russian track and field athletes, Nikolai Yushmanov in 1986 and Andrey Epishin in 2006.
